My 22 year old and first digital camera - Sony DSC-P30

I had this camera stored away in a box and decided to share some photos of it. It is an antique. This vintage machine was bought when I was in university. I dont think I have the charging cable and I dont know if it still works. I would have bought this some time in the second half of 2001.

*I realised after that it can also work with AA batteries. I tried some used batteries I had and the LCD screen actually comes on but I am getting E:92:00. I think I need to try fresh batteries.

Small island but big heart

This will be my submission to the Caribbean Writer's call for submissions for volume 39. https://www.thecaribbeanwriter.org/2024/03/01/accepting-submissions-for-volume-39/ The theme is "Possibilities: Beyond Tradition, Inside of Courage." The word that stands out to me here is courage. I read that the word "courage" comes from the Latin word cor, which means "heart". In earlier times the word was used for speaking one's mind bravely. I connected this to my Linksys router and I was set. The router is old and does not have all the features of modern routers but it worked. Did a house call the other day and saw that the person had the WIFI modem with their AVS setup. Then it occurred to me that I should switch out my modem for a WIFI modem. I went out for lunch today. I walked in the blazing midday sun. Beads of sweat drained from my sun tanned forehead. The air condition in the food shop struggles to keep the room cool. I think to myself that imagine we are in the rainy season now. What will happen in the dry season? I was chatting with a friend and he asked if this was climate change and I agreed.
