MDTs Engagement Platform

I have not done a tech blog post in a while even though I have been keeping up somewhat with the local tech space. I was looking for the BOLD plan/document that Mark Lyndersay mentioned in his column and I was directed to this new looking and fancy website. https://engage.gov.tt/en/ It is the engagement front for MDT where they share updates and we can interact and give feedback. I love the idea. The first thing I did was sign up and the first thing I would want to do is share the devs.tt project with them. Also I see that there are 5 weeks left to comment on the BOLD plan. When signing up to access the website I noticed that the email confirmation came from citizenlab.co (Now "go vocal") which is a third party community engagement platform. Piping hot topic

Continuing from my last blog post : I have been reading and watching youtubes and chatting with Bard on the topics of pi. The more I pursue this topic the better my understanding gets but at the same time, the more questions I have. I like how I started in one topic of Math and I am having to explore the related topics and disciplines. How could we relate the saying that "information is never lost in the universe" to irrational numbers? Can I create a function that can produce a number from pi at a given position and for a given length? I like this article that shows that the universe is in pi. Comes from the fact that we can find any number within the decimal digits of pi as long as we go out far enough. Also this sum-of-three-cubes puzzle article was a fascinating read. Can every irrational number be expressed as the ratio derived from the measurements of a shape? Maybe even three dimensions and other dimensions. Mind

This is a chapter from my fifth book called Freedom I came across this quote from an unknown source when I was writing my first book and it has stuck with me. "I was free once I realized that the cage was made of thoughts". The mind is so powerful. The mind is a terrible thing to waste. Just as I wrote those few sentences we had a medium and prolonged earthquake in Trinidad. It is now around 12 midnight in Trinidad. It was a 6.2 earthquake. I think this earthquake has awakened the entire country. As I reread what I wrote so far I noticed that the word midnight contains the word mind. Midnight = mind + thing. A powerful re-mind-er of what I wrote earlier. The mind is a terrible thing to waste. This has been the slogan of the UNCF (United Negro College Fund) and later modified to say, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste, but a wonderful thing to invest in." eTextbooks in Trinidad and Tobago

What is an etextbook? An etextbook is a textbook in digital format. You will use a laptop or tablet or other device to download and read your etextbook. There are several advantages of etextbooks. These include lower cost, environmentally friendly, easier to carry many books, easy to search, text to audio, easy to update and can be interactive. When are we going to see etextbooks in Trinidad and Tobago? I contacted TTUTA and asked, "Do you think that etextbooks should be used in Trinidad and Tobago? And why?" and have not received a response as yet. I contacted the Ministry of Education's Textbook Unit and asked, "Does the ministry have plans to introduce etextbooks in the education system?" and have not received a response as yet. What is the story behind the broken kite?

This is a chapter from my fourth book called When hunger yearns The broken kite by Hassan Voyeau I had this idea. I would open the pen-up app and close my eyes and just draw random lines and then fill the random shapes formed with color. But what does my new art piece represent? I used Google lens and found that the closest match pointed to a gallery with a mixture of kites and vector art. Then it occured to me that it looks just like a broken kite. A kite that had gotten stuck in a tree and was pulled down but got broken and damaged in the process. It also kinda looks like a fish that got damaged too. Maybe it is a fish kite. I was reading about the history of the kite. The exact origin is unknown but it is believed that they were flown in China more than 1000 years ago. One suggestion is that a Chinese farmer tied a string to his hat to prevent it from flying off and that is how the first kite was born.
