Rhyme and reason

This is another page from my ninth book called "Dear God". I was inspired to write this book after writing "I am voting for God" on my blog. It continues in that format. Short letters (or prayers) to God. It gives me an opportunity to write more and write to God at different moments in my life.

Dear God,

I took the last word of each chapter so far (in order) and wrote a poem. We often are looking for reasons but I have come to realise that the best thing we can do is have faith in Your reason and pray. God, you have the last word.

I lift my hands in prayer,
For Your light to make things clear.
Humanity finds itself needing Your rain,
To wash the world of all the pain.
God you know the reason why,
Again and again, we are tested under Your sky.
I pray for peace, for me,
And all of humanity.
